Enterprise
Policies & Deployment
Roll Gyaanmitra out across a team with shared defaults. Developers still get the full editor.
Managed policies
IT administrators can set organization-wide defaults with the usual platform tools: Group Policy on Windows, configuration profiles on macOS, and the equivalent on Linux. That covers which extension sources are allowed, whether Settings Sync is allowed, and the default network and proxy setup.
Extension management
Limit installs to an approved list, or put a fixed set of extensions on every managed machine for you.
Telemetry controls
Set telemetry to off, error-only, or full in machine policy. That overrides whatever someone picked on their own machine.
Deployment at scale
The Windows System Installer and the Linux package repository (see Setup and Setup) are meant for scripted, silent installs across many machines, using the deployment tools you already have. Nobody has to click through an install wizard.
Choose a distribution method
The Windows System Installer supports silent, unattended installs. Linux fleets usually pull from the apt or yum repository directly.
Pre-configure default settings
Ship a default settings.json with the install, or apply settings
through policy, so every new install starts with your organization's
baseline already in place.
Manage updates centrally
Point managed installs at your own update feed, or turn off Gyaanmitra's built-in auto-update and roll versions out through the patch process you already use.
AI usage controls
Gyaanmitra AI connects to whichever model provider each person sets up with their own key (see Models & Providers). If you need to standardize or limit AI use, do it on the network or at the provider. For example, only allow outbound requests to an approved provider's API. Gyaanmitra does not need a separate enterprise AI setup of its own.
